Engage Verso for expert support to understand the new Support at Home Program
Earlier this year, the Commonwealth Department of Health released information about reforms to aged care, culminating in the new Support at Home Program. This program is intended to commence in July 2023 and will supersede the current Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support and Short-Term Restorative Care programs, as well as residential respite. Major changes to assessment, service types and funding mean that proactive preparation is essential for home care providers of all shapes and sizes.
The Verso team has fielded several requests for support to understand and prepare for the impacts and implications of this new program. In response we have developed a one-day workshop which can effectively support up to 20 key staff and/or Board members to take a positive, solution-focused approach.
Core content areas include:
- Key points and implications of the new Support at Home Program
- Changes to assessment processes
- Important new terminology
- Review of the planned Classification Framework and service types
- Supports for specific cohorts
- SWOT analysis of the impact to your organisation
A Workshop Outcomes Report will be provided articulating your business actions and strategies that need to be taken to ensure your organisation is positioned to maximise strengths and opportunities and address weaknesses and threats relating to the Support at Home Program.
If you would like to book an in-house or online workshop, email courtney@verso.com.au
